Platform Engineer

Role Overview

The Platform Engineer is responsible for the development, maintenance, and scalability of the company’s digital platforms, including AI-enabled systems and education technology solutions. The role ensures platform reliability, security, and performance.

Key Responsibilities

Design and maintain scalable web-based platforms for AI and education services

Ensure system reliability, uptime, and performance optimisation

Implement secure data handling and compliance with UK data protection requirements

Integrate third-party services and APIs where required

Support continuous deployment and system monitoring

Collaborate with AI developers to deploy and maintain AI features

Maintain technical documentation and infrastructure standards

Required Skills & Competencies

Proficiency in backend and/or full-stack development (e.g., Node.js, Python, or equivalent)

Experience with cloud infrastructure and deployment pipelines

Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and data protection compliance

Familiarity with API integration and microservices architecture

Strong troubleshooting and system optimisation skills
