Education Programme Manager (English Curriculum & Assessment)

Location: Belfast, Northern Ireland (Hybrid)
Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week (Monday–Friday)

Role Overview

The Education Programme Manager will lead the design, development, and delivery of English curriculum content and assessment frameworks for MyTransferTeacher, a digital learning platform supporting students preparing for the SEAG transfer test in Northern Ireland.

The role focuses on creating structured, curriculum-aligned learning programmes, ensuring high academic standards, and supporting measurable student learning outcomes through well-designed educational content.

Key Responsibilities

Curriculum & Programme Development

Design and develop structured English learning programmes for primary and post-primary students (ages 10–11)

Create curriculum frameworks aligned with SEAG requirements and Northern Ireland education standards

Develop lesson plans covering reading comprehension, grammar, vocabulary, and writing skills

Ensure clear progression across different learning levels

Assessment & Content Design

Develop question banks, practice tests, and mock examinations

Apply recognised educational frameworks (e.g., Bloom’s Taxonomy) in assessment design

Establish measurable learning outcomes and performance benchmarks

Review and refine content based on student performance data

Digital Learning Content

Adapt curriculum materials for delivery through a digital learning platform

Support the creation of interactive and structured learning resources

Maintain and update educational content within the system

Programme Monitoring & Evaluation

Monitor student progress and evaluate programme effectiveness

Develop simple reporting frameworks for tracking learning outcomes

Produce internal reports to support product and content improvements

School & Stakeholder Coordination

Support collaboration with schools and educational partners where required

Contribute to improving parent and student engagement through structured learning support materials

Quality, Safeguarding & Inclusion

Ensure all content meets appropriate academic and safeguarding standards

Support inclusive learning by designing accessible and student-friendly materials

Maintain consistency and quality across all published content

Required Skills & Competencies

Experience in: Curriculum development & Lesson planning and assessment design

Strong understanding of English language teaching and learning methodologies

Ability to design structured learning programmes with measurable outcomes

Strong written communication and academic content development skills

Organised and detail-oriented approach to content creation

Essential Qualifications


Master’s degree or higher in: English, Education, English Language Teaching (ELT) or a related field

Desirable

Experience with: Digital learning platforms or LMS systems

Familiarity with: UK or Northern Ireland education systems

Indicative Experience Level

Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in: Teaching, Curriculum development, Educational content creation
