Role Overview

The AI Developer is responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of AI-driven systems that support business automation and education technology platforms. The role focuses on practical implementation, system reliability, and responsible AI practices aligned with UK regulatory and ethical expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop AI-enabled features for SME automation tools and education platforms
• Build and maintain machine learning models for data processing, pattern recognition, and workflow optimisation
• Ensure AI systems are transparent, explainable, and subject to appropriate human oversight
• Integrate AI components into existing digital platforms and business systems
• Monitor system performance and refine models to maintain accuracy and reliability
• Collaborate with platform engineers to ensure scalable deployment
• Document technical processes and maintain compliance with data protection standards

Required Skills & Competencies

• Proficiency in Python or similar programming languages used in AI development
• Experience with machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, or equivalent)
• Understanding of data preprocessing, model training, and evaluation techniques
• Knowledge of responsible AI principles, including fairness, transparency, and accountability
• Familiarity with cloud-based deployment environments
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
