AI EDUCATION INITIATIVE

AI Literacy Programme (Ages 10–16)

Programme Overview

Sicy International Ltd is developing a structured Artificial Intelligence literacy programme designed for learners aged 10–16.The initiative aims to introduce age-appropriate AI concepts, promote responsible technology use, and strengthen foundational digital skills aligned with emerging workforce requirements. The programme is currently in structured development phase, with a focus on pilot-ready implementation and scalable digital delivery.

Why AI Literacy Matters

Artificial Intelligence is increasingly integrated into everyday life, education systems, and professional environments.Early exposure to AI concepts can:
Strengthen computational thinking skills
Build confidence in digital environments
Improve problem-solving capability
Encourage STEM engagement
Promote responsible and ethical technology awareness

Target Age Group

The programme is designed for learners aged 10–16, with differentiated learning pathways tailored to developmental stages:
Ages 10–12: Foundational AI awareness
Ages 13–14: Structured AI concept exploration
Ages 15–16: Applied AI understanding and real-world context

Proposed Curriculum Areas

The AI Literacy Programme will include modules covering

The AI Literacy Programme will include a range of age-appropriate modules designed to build foundational understanding and practical awareness of artificial intelligence. It will begin with an introduction to AI, explaining what artificial intelligence is and how it works in simple terms, along with familiar everyday examples of AI systems. Learners will then explore data and pattern recognition, focusing on how data serves as input for AI systems and how patterns help machines make decisions. The programme will introduce machine learning fundamentals through simplified explanations of learning algorithms and practical demonstrations using interactive tools to make concepts engaging and accessible.

Participants will also examine AI in real-world applications, including its role in healthcare, education, transportation, and business systems, helping them connect theoretical knowledge to everyday life. A strong emphasis will be placed on responsible and ethical AI, covering topics such as data privacy awareness, bias in AI systems, responsible technology use, and the development of critical thinking skills in digital environments. Finally, the programme will incorporate project-based learning through guided practical exercises, scenario-based AI problem solving, and interactive activities that encourage learners to apply their knowledge in meaningful and creative ways.

Measurable Outcomes

The initiative aims to deliver measurable impact through:
Increased AI awareness among participants
Improved digital literacy confidence levels
Demonstrated understanding of AI ethics
Engagement with structured problem-solving tasks
Increased interest in STEM pathways

Evaluation frameworks will include structured assessments, progress tracking, and feedback mechanisms.

Long-Term Vision

The long-term objective of the AI Literacy Programme is to:
Establish a scalable AI education platform
Support schools seeking structured digital skills enhancement
Provide accessible AI literacy resources
Contribute meaningfully to national digital capability development

The initiative will prioritise responsible AI education, inclusivity, and measurable educational impact.
