Platform Engineer

Role Overview

The Platform Engineer is responsible for the development, maintenance, and scalability of the company’s digital platforms, including AI-enabled systems and education technology solutions. The role ensures platform reliability, security, and performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and maintain scalable web-based platforms for AI and education services
• Ensure system reliability, uptime, and performance optimisation
• Implement secure data handling and compliance with UK data protection requirements
• Integrate third-party services and APIs where required
• Support continuous deployment and system monitoring
• Collaborate with AI developers to deploy and maintain AI features
• Maintain technical documentation and infrastructure standards

Required Skills & Competencies

• Proficiency in backend and/or full-stack development (e.g., Node.js, Python, or equivalent)
• Experience with cloud infrastructure and deployment pipelines
• Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and data protection compliance
• Familiarity with API integration and microservices architecture
• Strong troubleshooting and system optimisation skills
